Captive Images grabs your fovourite moments from games, videos and more.

Have you ever wanted to go further then just "Print Screen" when it comes to taking screenshots? With the easily downloaded program Screenshot Captor, which is virtually free (but being a type shareware called donationware it requires a donation to the site in order to obtain a code to use the program after 180 days)., you have access to a program that allows you to capture images in a variety of ways, browse them, and use unique effects of them.

The tool is built to appeal to power users, with not a lot of automatic features for casual users. There are also a lot features that allow you to add captions, arrow and object-not a fully-featured image editor, but certainly a nice set of tools.

There's a row of size selection options along the top of the current image, or you can use the draggable zoom slider along the right side; and in between the slider and the current image are a column of icons for various save options, blur option, borders, and object tools.

One of the most useful features here is autoscroll capture (Ctrl+Shift+PrtScr) which in Screenshot Captor is called RedBox Capture. RedBox Capture allows you to capture an image of a webpage that is wider or taller than your screen. Even if the window would scroll horizontally or vertically or both, Screenshot Captor can attempt to figure out the size of the window's contents and capture it all. And in the event that Screenshot Captor makes a mistake, such as including the scroll bar as part of the captured image, you can adjust the Scrolling Window Exception Settings listed under the Redbox Capture tab in Screenshot Capture Settings.

The thumbnail browser along the left side is a visually pleasing and intiutive design feature that allows you to review your whole screenshots folder as it grows by leaps and bounds. All screenshots are automatically labeled by the program's naming system but can be easily renamed with a few keystrokes in the name field under the current image.
